Trump Cabinet Officials Set To Launch TikTok Accounts Tuesday

According to Axios, most of President Donald Trump's Cabinet will launch TikTok accounts Tuesday, days after the U.S. Justice Department told federal employees it was safe to use the app because it has been sold to a U.S.-approved owner. The move marks a shift from Trump's first term, when his administration said TikTok posed a national security threat because of its ownership by China's ByteDance. Axios reported that the Trump administration now views TikTok as a tool for reaching young voters, and Trump has used the app since 2024, including a post about his appearance at a UFC event that drew hundreds of millions of views.
