According to CNBC, Cardinal Health said Monday it agreed to buy AdaptHealth's diabetes health business and Strive Medical for a combined $360 million in cash. The healthcare services company said the deals add to its push into faster-growing, higher-margin home care businesses and follow its late-2024 acquisitions of GI Alliance for about $2.8 billion and Advanced Diabetes Supply Group for $1.1 billion. AdaptHealth's diabetes unit serves more than 225,000 patients annually, while Strive Medical serves more than 20,000 patients a year. Leerink analysts called the transactions logical strategic tuck-ins that support Cardinal Health's long-term growth profile.
