Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesperson warned Bulgaria not to allow the United States to use its territory for military action against Iran. According to Jin10, Bulgaria had previously said it would seek parliamentary approval to allow up to eight U.S. refueling aircraft to be stationed at an air base in the country. Bulgaria is a member of NATO and the EU. According to Iranian state media, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei said any activity assisting a U.S. attack on Iran would amount to what he called complicity in "acts of aggression and war crimes." Baghaei urged Bulgaria not to become "an accomplice of aggressors and lawbreakers."
