BIS researchers found that dollar-backed stablecoins are contributing to digital dollarization across more than 130 economies. According to NS3.AI, the study said stablecoin flows showed little response to capital controls or other foreign exchange restrictions.
The report said the stablecoin market capitalization has risen to about $309.7 billion from roughly $260 billion a year ago.
