Lindt said a groupwide price increase of 11.8% contributed to a fall in first-half revenue, with Easter chocolate sales hit in the UK, Germany and Switzerland, according to BBC. The Swiss chocolate maker said weaker Easter demand and lower tourism from Asia and the Middle East, due to geopolitical uncertainties, also weighed on sales.

Overall sales fell 0.9%, European sales dropped 2.1% and volume sales sank 7.5%, while pre-tax profit declined 1.5%. Lindt said it has adjusted prices and increased marketing in some regions for the second half of the year, and chief executive Adalbert Lechner said the company is focused on volume recovery in the second half of 2026 and regaining growth momentum in 2027.
