MoneyGram CEO says blockchain works best when customers do not know it is there

MoneyGram CEO Anthony Soohoo said the company’s blockchain strategy has shifted from experimentation to modernizing its global payments infrastructure, with the goal of making cross-border transfers faster, cheaper and more transparent. According to CoinDesk, Soohoo said customers care about speed and reliability, not the technology behind it, and added that MoneyGram’s MGUSD stablecoin is mainly meant for use inside its own payments ecosystem.
