Beijing Sees 7.8% Growth in Digital Economy Value-Added in H1

Beijing's digital economy value-added grew 7.8% in the first half of 2026, while value-added in its core digital economy industries rose 9.8%, according to Jiemian News. The city added 22,000P of new intelligent computing power in H1, bringing total supply to 82,000P, as it continued work on the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei "Galaxy Computing Corridor" project. In the second half, Beijing plans to expand AI applications across sectors, including intelligent translation and simultaneous interpretation in tourism and consumption, and to formulate policies for the Token economy covering production, distribution and application. It also aims to build Token factories and distribution platforms, with use cases in industry, education and tourism, and to further raise intelligent computing supply through a "super node + industry node" support system. Beijing is targeting 50,000P of additional intelligent computing capacity in H2 and total computing power of more than 130,000P by year-end.
