HSBC said Macau gaming revenue rose 9% week on week to MOP678 million a day in the last week of World Cup matches, lifting gaming revenue in the first 19 days of this month. The bank said average daily revenue for the month so far was about MOP634 million, down 7% from a year earlier, according to Ming Pao.
For the full month, gaming revenue is expected to fall 5% to 9% year on year. HSBC maintained buy ratings on Sands China (1928), Galaxy Entertainment (0027) and MGM China (2282).
