South Korea's Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy said on July 21 that it has secured crude oil arrivals for July and August at more than 110% of last year's average, and expects September arrivals to reach at least 90% of the level a year earlier. The ministry said crude supply through the end of September is not expected to face major problems, according to Jiemian News. It added that traffic through the Red Sea route is currently normal and that the government is closely monitoring developments; if the route is disrupted, it will look for alternatives such as the Suez Canal.
