Stablecoin executives said the race to lower cross-border payment fees is pushing firms to look beyond transfer revenue. According to NS3.AI, Trace Finance pointed to Brazil’s position as the world’s 11th-largest economy but only 23rd in currency trading volume.

Brites cited Brazil’s $100,000 VASP cross-border transaction cap, while executives at Caliza and Edge and Node highlighted treasury automation and compliance controls as key areas for growth. The remarks suggest firms are adjusting their business models as payment margins narrow.
