Strategy Says Bitcoin Reserves Cover 31 Years of Dividends

Strategy said its Bitcoin reserves, based on management calculations, could cover 31 years of dividends, while its dollar reserves could cover 1.8 years of near-term dividend obligations. According to ChainCatcher, Strategy Bitcoin product and investor relations head Chaitanya Jain disclosed the figures on X.

The company’s filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission showed dollar reserves of $3.225 billion. Strategy said the reserves are intended to pay preferred stock dividends and interest on outstanding debt.

Strategy currently holds 843,775 BTC, with a purchase cost of about $63.69 billion and an average purchase price of $75,476. The company sold 2.73 million MSTR shares and raised net proceeds of about $264 million.

The filing also showed that Strategy did not issue preferred stock, conduct share repurchases, or buy Bitcoin during the week. Its most recent disclosed Bitcoin purchase took place on June 22.
