According to Jin10, Hong Kong Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury Christopher Hui signed a memorandum of understanding with Laotian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Santiphab Phomvihane in Vientiane on July 20 to promote cooperation between the two sides in the gold market and financial services. Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government Information Services said the signing took place on July 20.
