London Stock Exchange Chief Executive Julia Hoggett said the exchange plans to launch a night trading platform in the first half of 2027. The new venue will operate independently from the main market and initially offer exchange-traded products, including funds that track UK or U.S. equities, according to Jiemian News.
The platform is slated to run from 5:00 p.m. to 7:50 a.m. the next day, with trading paused from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. for end-of-day processing. The London Stock Exchange's main market will keep its regular session from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
