According to Axios, South Carolina Sen. Darline Graham Nordone said Monday she will run in the Republican race for her late brother Lindsey Graham's Senate seat after President Trump endorsed her last week. Nordone said in a Fox News interview clip posted on X that she is running, while South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster had appointed her last week to fill the seat after Lindsey Graham's sudden death. The filing period for the special election opens Tuesday and closes July 28, with South Carolinians set to vote in an Aug. 11 Republican primary before the winner faces Democratic candidate Annie Andrews in November. Nordone has never held public office and previously worked helping people with disabilities find employment. Rep. Ralph Norman and Rep. Russell Fry have also entered the race, while Rep. Nancy Mace said Monday she will not run.
