Trump Holds Call With UK Prime Minister Bernam

According to Lianhe Zaobao, a White House official said on Monday, July 20, that US President Donald Trump held a phone call with Britain’s new Prime Minister Bernam. The White House did not disclose details of the call, but a Downing Street source told the Daily Telegraph that Bernam invited Trump to visit Manchester. Before formally taking office, Bernam said in a recorded video that the first foreign leaders he would contact after becoming prime minister would be Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. After Bernam entered Downing Street, leaders from several countries congratulated him on taking office, and Zelensky said he wished Bernam “every success in facing today’s challenges.” Bernam, 56, is Britain’s seventh prime minister in the past 10 years and previously served as culture minister, health minister and mayor of Greater Manchester from 2017 to June this year.
