CDP lending protocol Superseed said it will abandon its own L2 network and migrate its entire ecosystem to Ethereum mainnet to directly access Ethereum liquidity and the RWA ecosystem. According to Foresight News, the company said engineering resources will shift fully to application development after it gives up independent chain infrastructure.
Its core products include a native lending protocol, the self-repaying stablecoin suprUSD, and the Super Strategies yield product. Superseed said protocol revenue will be used to repay user loans instead of L2 gas fees.
The Superseed L2 chain will be shut down on August 15. Users holding USDC, USDT, cbBTC, ETH and other assets must complete cross-chain transfers before that date, as the company said it cannot guarantee asset recovery after the deadline. Holders of SUPR tokens who miss the deadline will have their balances recorded at shutdown and can later claim Ethereum-native SUPR through a dedicated contract, with the timing to be announced later.
