Intercont Ship Services (2409) said it has signed two bulk carrier shipbuilding contracts worth $66 million with a Yangzijiang Shipbuilding-related company listed in Singapore as BS6. The two vessels will each have a gross tonnage of about 26,700 tonnes, with a construction cost of about $33 million per ship, according to Ming Pao.
The ships are scheduled to be built in 2028 and 2030, respectively. Intercont Ship Services said the contracts will be funded through internal resources and external financing from financial institutions or other organizations.
