According to CNBC, JetBlue Airways has won Spirit Airlines slots at New York's LaGuardia Airport and is seeking to move back into the failed budget carrier's former home. The slots cover 12 roundtrip flights and still require final court and regulatory approval. JetBlue told staff in a note Monday that it is evaluating how to use the slots as it considers network strategy opportunities, while saying any expansion will not begin until 2027. The airline also wants to move to Terminal A, or the Marine Air Terminal, which Spirit used until it shut down in early May. JetBlue previously operated from the terminal before relocating to a newer facility years ago.
