OranjeBTC said it completed a private share buyback this week, repurchasing 3,926,667 OBTC3 common shares at R$ 4.05 each. According to ChainCatcher, the transaction implied an mNAV multiple of 0.65x and totaled about R$ 15.9 million.
The company said the buyback generated a weekly gross BTC yield of 2.68%, while its Bitcoin reserves remained unchanged. It currently holds 3,912 BTC, with gross BTC yield of 3.15% for the third quarter and 16.39% year to date.
OranjeBTC said that under certain conditions, repurchasing its own shares can be more effective than directly buying Bitcoin for increasing BTC held per share.
