According to Lianhe Zaobao citing Reuters, Ukraine said Russia fired missiles at a Turkish grain ship near the port of Odesa in southern Ukraine, killing 10 people. The Ukrainian navy said on Sunday, July 19, that Russia launched three cruise missiles at the Guinea-Bissau-flagged Golden Leo while the vessel was leaving the conflict zone with grain cargo. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Sybiha said the crew included Syrian and Indian citizens, while Prime Minister Kolesnikov said the ship was attacked near Odesa after leaving port. Transport Minister Kalashnik said eight crew members were rescued, including two who were injured, and Sybiha later confirmed that a Ukrainian pilot was killed. Russia's Defense Ministry said on Monday that its forces also struck fuel storage tanks at the port of Odesa overnight, while Odesa regional governor Kiper said the city has been shelled daily since early July, leaving 28 people dead.
