Foresight News reported that a Security Alliance page on Lazarus Group members shows Consensys-linked North Korean hacker Mauro Liu previously worked at Ankr, Blueberry Protocol, Clover Network, Harmony, DEPO, and other protocols. According to Foresight News, the report follows earlier Cointelegraph coverage that said Consensys brought in a software developer earlier this year through a “reputable third-party service provider.”
Consensys later found the developer had ties to North Korea. The developer used the alias Tyler Knapp and had access to Consensys systems for about one month.
Consensys general counsel Matt Corva said the developer was not a Consensys employee but worked as a contractor. He said the company terminated access immediately after discovering the threat, opened a full investigation, and confirmed that no assets or data were stolen and no malicious code was deployed.
