China State Grid Opens Third 2026 UHV and Transmission Equipment Bids

China State Grid has begun publishing preferred bidders for its third 2026 batch of UHV equipment tenders and its third transmission and substation equipment tenders, including cable products, according to a CITIC Securities report cited by 36Kr. The report said the first three UHV procurement rounds this year have already exceeded the full-year 2025 total, while demand for high-voltage equipment is expected to stay elevated as main grid construction remains strong. CITIC Securities said leading domestic high-voltage equipment makers that are currently at low levels could see an inflection point.
