Tether’s USDT Faces 2-year GENIUS Act Countdown

Tether’s USDT could be pushed out of U.S. crypto platforms if the company does not overhaul its reserves and compliance posture over the next two years. The stablecoin’s issuer has not shown a clear shift toward full compliance with the GENIUS Act, and as much as a quarter of USDT reserves may still sit in assets that do not meet the law’s standards, according to CoinDesk, while federal regulators have yet to finalize implementing rules.
