According to Lianhe Zaobao, multiple locations on Iran's southern Qeshm Island were hit by missile attacks on Sunday, July 19. Iranian media reported explosions in several parts of the island, and residents said three to five missiles struck Qeshm Island. There were no reports of civilian casualties or damage to infrastructure. Iranian media also reported several explosions earlier in the day near Bandar Abbas and Qeshm Island. Qeshm Island is in southern Iran in the Strait of Hormuz and faces Bandar Abbas across the water, making it a strategic position guarding the entrance to the Persian Gulf.
