The Pentagon is accelerating the deployment of fighter jets to the Middle East, including U.S. Air Force F-16 Fighting Falcons and F-35 Lightning II stealth fighters. According to Jin10, the deployments include F-16s from the U.S. Air Force's 480th Fighter Squadron at Spangdahlem Air Base in Germany and F-35s from the U.S. Air Force's 48th Fighter Wing at Royal Air Force Lakenheath in the United Kingdom.
Several aerial refueling tankers are also heading to the Middle East. The Air and Space Forces magazine website said the move shows the war could expand as the U.S. President Donald Trump administration seeks to pressure Iran into agreeing to another deal.
