Arsene Wenger said FIFA accepts the mandatory three-minute hydration breaks at the 2026 World Cup have not been popular and will review their impact after the tournament, according to Yahoo Sports. The breaks were introduced for all matches at stadiums in the United States, Mexico and Canada as a player-welfare measure, but critics have said broadcasters use them to run commercials. Wenger, FIFA's head of global football development, said it did not appear the stoppages changed results, while supporters booed them as the tournament progressed.
