KB Financial Group has announced the formation of a 100 billion won digital asset strategic investment fund. According to Odaily, the fund will seek investments in digital assets and artificial intelligence and aims to link portfolio projects with the group's businesses to accelerate its digital finance transition.
KB Investment will manage the fund. Its target areas include technology companies related to the digital asset market, foundation models and application services that support AI transformation, and startups in AI infrastructure such as data inference and analytics.
