French Regulator ANJ Says Polymarket Website Will Be Blocked in France

France's gaming regulator ANJ said on July 17 that the Polymarket website will be blocked in France after it banned financial transactions to the site in November 2024. According to Odaily, ANJ said the site's continued availability and real-time updates to odds on different events constitute advertising. Although French accounts have been barred from trading, visits to the Polymarket website from French internet addresses have continued to rise, reaching 578,800 in June.
