PPP prediction market monitoring showed that a smart-money wallet with more than $480,000 in profit bought over $60,000 of England winner positions in Polymarket’s 2026 World Cup third-place match event between France and England, with an average entry price of 36 cents. According to Odaily, France lost 2-0 to Spain in the semifinals, ending its strong run in the knockout stage, while England lost 2-1 to Argentina.

Although third-place matches usually carry limited motivation, France has been slightly favored because of its recent form and squad depth. The report also said a draw remains possible, as both teams have relatively strong defensive organization. England had shown steady overall performances, but its energy expenditure and emotions after the semifinal exit could affect the result.
