MegaETH co-founder Shuyao Kong said the two-year MegaMafia program will be discontinued and will not launch a 3.0 version. According to ChainCatcher, the program supported 20 teams across two rounds, helped them raise more than $80 million, and spent millions of dollars on market making, direct lending, audits, and other liquidity needs.
MegaETH did not seek equity, governance rights, or other economic interests from those efforts, and the spending brought little value back to MegaETH. Most of the applications are no longer co-developing with MegaETH. Going forward, MegaETH will continue supporting existing MegaMafia projects while shifting its focus to OMEGA applications that depend on MegaETH and use its wallet infrastructure and stablecoin, as well as consumer applications built directly by its team.
