Counterpoint Research said on June 22 that smartphones with generative AI features are expected to account for 45% of global shipments in 2026 and 52% in 2027, according to 36Kr. Market researchers said major smartphone brands are accelerating AI phone rollouts as on-device AI models move into handsets. The report also said AI phone-related stocks have drawn heavy institutional attention, with 18 shares rated by at least five institutions. Lens Technology, Avary Holding and iFlytek received ratings from 20, 16 and 15 institutions, respectively.
