Boeing and Airbus Seek Large Narrow-Body Orders From SMBC Aviation Capital

On July 16 local time, sources said Boeing and Airbus are both seeking large orders for their popular narrow-body jets from aircraft lessor SMBC Aviation Capital. According to 36Kr, Boeing is in advanced talks with the lessor for about 100 737 Max aircraft, while Airbus is also in discussions with SMBC over its A320neo model in an effort to secure a similar-size order commitment.
