China Giant EVs Strain Roads, Cut Fuel Tax Revenue

China’s new generation of supersized electric vehicles, some more than 5 meters long and weighing three tons, are straining the country’s roads while reducing fuel-tax revenue used for maintenance, according to Bloomberg. The report says the shift to larger EVs is leaving the government with less money for repairs even as the vehicles put greater pressure on infrastructure.
