The U.S. Central Command said the U.S. Marine Corps' 11th Expeditionary Unit boarded a tanker in the Gulf of Oman on July 16. According to Jin10, the U.S. military has forced three merchant ships trying to break the blockade to change course, rendered one noncompliant vessel unable to sail, and boarded one vessel to ensure full compliance with the U.S. maritime blockade on Iran. It added that the Strait of Hormuz and surrounding waters remain open and free, except for vessels attempting to break the U.S. blockade.
