Muheber, an adviser to Iran's supreme leader, warned on social media that the recent attacks in Ahvaz and Bandar-e Emam Khomeyni were part of the same pattern as an earlier attack on a school in Minab, and that all of the targets were civilians. According to Jin10, he said parties supporting the attacks should recognize that strikes on Iran's security and infrastructure could disrupt the region's energy supply chain.

The adviser said attacks on Iran's infrastructure would have severe consequences for regional energy security. Iran's Khuzestan province deputy governor said late on July 15 that several areas around Ahvaz, the provincial capital, were hit by U.S. strikes. Reports also said several shells struck an area near a local hospital. Separately, Iran's Sistan-Baluchestan province deputy governor confirmed on July 9 that Bandar-e Emam Khomeyni Airport was attacked early that morning, killing one firefighter.
