Thom Tillis Withholds Support For Todd Blanche Confirmation Over Epstein Victims Meeting

According to Axios, outgoing Sen. Thom Tillis (R-N.C.) said Thursday he will not vote to confirm acting Attorney General Todd Blanche to the permanent job unless Blanche meets with survivors of Jeffrey Epstein's abuse. Tillis said during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing that he was not making a final decision, but that Blanche had said he would meet with the victims if it could be arranged, and that he expected the meeting to happen before he would support moving the nomination out of committee. Tillis said even one Republican no vote on the committee would stop Blanche's nomination from advancing to a full Senate confirmation vote.
