Iran Calls on Gulf Neighbors to Block Use of Territory for Military Action

Iran’s Foreign Ministry issued a statement calling on neighboring countries on the southern coast of the Persian Gulf to take immediate steps to prevent their land, seas, and airspace from being used for military operations against Iran in order to avoid further escalation in the region. According to Odaily, the statement said Iran does not want the United States and Israel to intensify tensions and mistrust among regional countries. Iran also said it has no hostile relations with neighboring states and believes lasting regional security can only be achieved through dialogue and cooperation, with regional countries jointly maintaining stability without external military presence or outside interference.
