X product head Nikita Bier said the platform is upgrading its anti-abuse system for the Creator Revenue Share plan, focusing on engagement bait and copied content. According to Odaily, accounts that repeatedly post engagement bait such as “reply to me and I’ll follow everyone” three times or more will be removed from the creator revenue plan and referred to the policy team for further action, including possible account suspension. X has already used its Grok AI system to identify such behavior, and nearly 4,000 accounts have been removed from the revenue plan today.

X also said its updated content recognition model can detect duplicate content at three times the previous speed. The platform said simply adding a watermark, intro, or minor edits will not generate revenue, and related monetization income will be returned to the original content publisher. The rule also applies to copied popular text posts, including widely shared posts such as “Twitter is the smoking area of the internet.”

Bier said X identified about 1.5 million pieces of stolen content during the latest detection cycle. Accounts that repeatedly or intentionally evade detection will lose their eligibility for creator revenue.

X said the measures are expected to reallocate more than $1 million in revenue to original content creators.
