Texas tops CNBC's 2026 workforce rankings

According to CNBC, Texas ranked as the best state for workers in America in 2026, leading the Workforce category on the strength of its large labor pool and strong talent attraction. The state had 104 available workers for every 100 open jobs, ranked No. 3 for net influx of college-educated workers on a percentage basis, and had a Workforce score of 276 out of 345 points for an A+ grade. Republican Gov. Greg Abbott also announced $4.7 million in grants to community colleges to support training for in-demand, high-paying jobs.
