Cryptocurrency custodian Anchorage Digital has added former Goldman Sachs executive Connie Shoemaker to its board of directors. Connie Shoemaker currently serves as chief operating officer and chief financial officer of the parent company of asset management firm Bridgewater Associates.
Anchorage Digital is currently the only cryptocurrency bank chartered by the Office of the Comptroller of Currency (OCC). A company spokesperson said that Anchorage Digital's business is growing as institutional interest in cryptocurrencies has surged with the approval of spot bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs).
