Iran said a U.S. MQ-9 Reaper drone was shot down over Andimeshk early on July 16 by a new air defense system operated by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Aerospace Force. According to Jin10, local militia groups searching in the Dasht-e Abbas area of Dehloran County found the drone wreckage in mountainous terrain near Seprun village.
Iran said the wreckage scattered across Dehloran County after the drone was downed and was later found and recovered by local residents.
