US stocks close: S & P 500 and Nasdaq hit new highs for four consecutive days

U.S. stocks closed Thursday with the Dow initially down 0.17 percent, the S & P 500 up 0.2 percent and the Nasdaq up 0.3 percent, with the latter two hitting record closing highs for four consecutive sessions. NVIDIA (NVDA. O) gained 3.5 percent, Apple (AAPL. O) gained 0.5 percent and Tesla (TSLA. O) gained 2.9 percent. The Nasdaq China Golden Dragon index closed up 0.28 percent, Dingdong Maicai (DDL. N) gained 11 percent, Bilibili (BILI. O) gained more than 7 percent and Alibaba (BABA. N) fell 0.9 percent.
