Aer Lingus Group DAC said it may eliminate as many as 500 jobs and reduce some flights as part of organizational changes aimed at helping the Irish carrier manage rising costs and stronger transatlantic competition, according to Bloomberg.

The airline said the measures are intended to improve efficiency as it faces pressure from higher expenses and a more competitive long-haul market.
