Baillie Gifford's digital assets and tokenization head Theo Golden announced the Baillie Gifford Enhanced Yield Fund (BAGEY) at the "Future of Innovation in Finance and Wealth Management" event in Hong Kong. According to Foresight News, the fund is issued natively on public blockchain infrastructure, with the token representing investors' fund shares and the blockchain serving as the official record of ownership.
Qualified professional investors can subscribe to and redeem the fund tokens using fiat currency or stablecoins, initially USDC. The dollar-denominated fund is issued on the Ethereum and Solana blockchains. Through these stablecoin channels, BAGEY offers T+0 redemptions of up to 10% of the fund's net asset value.
