According to CNBC, Indian vibe-coding startup Emergent raised $300 million in a Series C round that valued the company at $1.5 billion, making it the second Indian AI firm in a month to top the billion-dollar mark. Bengaluru-based Creaegis led the round, with Claypond, Sentinel Global, Khosla Ventures, SoftBank Vision Fund 2, Lightspeed and Y Combinator also participating. Emergent said 70% of its users have no prior coding experience, and about 12 million apps were built on its platform in the past year.
IDC Asia Pacific's head of research for AI, analytics and data, Deepika Giri, said nearly half of Indian enterprises are already testing agentic AI solutions. Market research firm IDC expects 45% of Indian organizations to use specialized cloud services by 2026 and said India has the broadest AI accelerator stack in APAC, spanning NVIDIA, AMD and hyperscaler silicon.
