On-device model developer Bambei Smart has reached a cooperation agreement with Samsung phones, and its self-developed MiniCPM series will be embedded in Samsung handset launches across several flagship models, according to 36Kr. On the same day, China's cyberspace authorities announced that seven mobile on-device generative AI services, including Apple Intelligence, had completed filing, including offerings from Huawei, OPPO, vivo, Xiaomi, Samsung and Nubia.
The seven services are Apple Intelligence, Huawei Xiaoyi AI, OPPO Andes GPT, vivo Blue Heart on-device model, Xiaomi HyperAI, Samsung Galaxy AI and Nubia Doubao phone model. 36Kr also reported that Alibaba confirmed Qwen will be integrated into Apple Intelligence for China-sold devices across iOS, iPadOS, macOS and visionOS, helping drive Alibaba shares up more than 5%.
36Kr said Bambei Smart was founded in Beijing in August 2022 and had raised more than 5 billion yuan by the first half of 2026, with its valuation topping 20 billion yuan. The company said its MiniCPM family has logged more than 38 million cumulative downloads across GitHub and Hugging Face, while its vehicle on-device agent SuperMate is expected to be delivered in more than 300,000 mass-produced cars by the end of 2026.
