Amazon's low-Earth orbit satellite network Leo announced a partnership with Herotel, South Africa's largest fixed internet provider, to launch a new service called evry, according to 36Kr. The service is expected to go live in 2027, providing internet connectivity to residential users in South Africa. This marks Amazon Leo's first such agreement in Africa. The announcement was made on July 15.
