The number of U.S. listed leveraged exchange-traded funds (ETFs) has reached a record high of 700, more than double the count at the end of 2024, according to The Kobeissi Letter. According to Odaily, over 400 of these are single-stock leveraged ETFs.

In the first half of 2026, leveraged and inverse ETFs accounted for 31% of all new ETF issuances in the U.S., up from 22% for the full year of 2025. In June alone, 117 leveraged and inverse ETFs were listed, representing nearly half of all new U.S. ETFs launched that month.
