According to Jin10, the Hormozgan Province government in southern Iran stated on July 16 that a location near Sirik was hit by U.S. artillery shells early that morning. Separately, Iranian sources reported early on July 16 that Qeshm Island in southern Iran was also struck by U.S. artillery shells.
