Morgan Stanley has received preliminary conditional approval from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) in June to establish a national trust bank for digital assets. According to NS3.AI, the proposed subsidiary would serve Morgan Stanley Wealth Management clients. Final approval and implementation would allow the firm to bring custody, fiduciary staking, transfers, and lending-collateral support in-house.
